Hey PA-TSA! My name is Madison Martin, and I am honored to be serving as your 2021-2022 State President. I am currently a senior in the Boyertown High School Chapter, and this is my 5th year in TSA. This year, I’m looking forward to thinking outside the box in Board Game Design, and competing in my other favorite events, Photographic Technology and Children’s Stories. When I’m not busy pulling TSA all-nighters, you will probably find me in a lab working on chemistry related research. I am also a dancer, love to travel, and enjoy photography and graphic design. This year, I am looking forward to following through on my campaign initiatives and creating positive change within PA-TSA. Our team is already hard at work bringing forth dozens of new initiatives to enhance your TSA experience. Stay on the lookout for new toolkits, video series, virtual activities, and so much more! Also, don’t forget to join state committees! They are one of the best ways to get involved and leave your mark on PA-TSA. Hey PA-TSA! My name is Julie Wright, and I am so excited to serve as our 2021-2022 State Vice President. I am a senior at Harriton High School and this is my 7th year in TSA. I am looking forward to studying Robert’s Rules in preparation for my favorite event, Chapter Team, and practicing my public speaking skills for Extemporaneous Presentation  When I’m not at TSA, I spend my time anchoring my school’s news station, HHS-TV, publicizing my school’s theater company’s shows, or growing plants with Harriton Environmental Club. I also have a job at a library near me and love spending time in the outdoors. This year, I am so excited to chair the Regional Representatives Committee, where I will be following up on my campaign promises regarding communication, outreach opportunities, and much more. I encourage you to apply to this committee and try your hand at designing your own initiatives for regional conferences, we’ll have lots of fun! I am so hopeful for this year in TSA and I cannot wait to see what our amazing delegation will create this year. Hey PA-TSA! My name is Ben Moldovsky, and I have the pleasure of serving as your 2021-2022 State Secretary. I’m currently in my junior year at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, and I’m entering my 6th year in TSA. This year, I’m excited to, once again, compete in my favorite event, Chapter Team. I’m also looking forward to, hopefully, being able to build some actual displays this year for some of my other favorite events, like Biotechnology. Aside from TSA, I enjoy hiking, spending time with my friends and family, woodworking, cooking, and playing with my dog. I also intern at a law firm, where I do clerk work, redactions, and document review. As your Secretary, I can’t wait to get started in the Outreach Committee, where we will continue our work in reaching out to various colleges, organizations, and corporations within PA. I highly suggest you join, as we will have some exciting stuff to do this year. Hey PA-TSA, my name is Rik Bhattacharyya and I am super excited to serve as your 2021-2022 State Treasurer. I am a senior at State College Area High School and enjoying my fifth year in TSA. This year, I’m looking forward to continuing with my favorite events: Debating Technological Issues and Biotechnology Design. Outside of TSA, I am involved in scouting and my school’s debate team. I also enjoy mountain biking and taking on challenges such as learning Mandarin Chinese. As Treasurer and chair of the National Service Project committee, I am looking forward to getting chapters the resources and support they need to better fundraise. Michelle Zheng

Hey PA-TSA! My name is Michelle Zheng and I’m thrilled to be serving as your State Reporter. I am currently a junior at Richland High School and this will be my fifth year in TSA. I can’t wait to compete in my favorite events, Biotechnology Design and Engineering Design, and hopefully design a few trifolds too. When I’m not losing sleep over TSA, you can find me running around a soccer field, building sets for my school’s musicals, playing the piano and viola, or advocating for girls in STEM. I’m looking forward to creating toolkits, filming video tutorials, managing our social media (@pennsylvaniatsa), and making sure you have an amazing TSA experience! I’ll also be chairing the Communications and Promotions Committee alongside Phillip, and if you love graphic design, creating videos, or would like to learn, you should definitely join! Hello PA-TSA, my name is Zane Al-Saleem and I’m delighted to be serving as your 2021-2022 State Sergeant-At-Arms. I am a junior at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School and this is my fifth year in TSA. My favorite events to compete in TSA are Biotechnology, Chapter Team and Music Production. Outside of TSA, I love to foster dogs with my family and travel around the world. I also enjoy serving as a chapter officer for my school’s American Red Cross Club and Future Health Professionals Chapter. This year, I am ecstatic to be serving as the chair of the Conference Sessions and Activities Committee (CSAC) with James. I can’t wait to innovate and create special interest sessions, and further develop the event resources subcommittee. Phillip Gao

Hey PA-TSA, my name is Phillip Gao and I’m thrilled to serve as your 2021-2022 State Historian. I am currently a senior at Lower Merion High School and am entering my seventh year in TSA. I can’t wait to build innovative models in Engineering Design, study revolutionizing developments in genetics in Biotechnology Design, and explore the principles of parliamentary procedure in Chapter Team. Outside of TSA, I am an editor of my school’s newspaper, The Merionite, teach python to middle schoolers and organize coding events in the Computer Science Club, and participate in competitive swimming for my private club and school. This year, I’m excited to serve as chair of the Communications and Promotions Committee (CAPC) alongside Michelle! I’m excited to work on initiatives such as developing video tutorials on chapter fundraising, how to run for office, and more. Hey PA-TSA, I’m James Coppersmith, and I’m honored and ecstatic to be serving as your State Parliamentarian. I’m currently a senior at South Western High School loving my fifth year of TSA. When I’m not crafting initiatives towards my goal of improving the experience of every single PA-TSA member you’ll find me competing in some of my favorite events, including Chapter Team, Biotechnology Design, Board Game Design, System Control Technology, and more. Outside of TSA, my passions include professionally arguing on my school’s debate team, working on getting my fantasy novel published, competing with my school’s quiz bowl team, and planning school events with my fellow class officers. In my limited free time, I enjoy writing and developing comedy. This year, I’m committed to helping give you all a voice in PA-TSA, promote unity within chapters, adding helpful features to our State Conference to improve your experience, and more! I can’t wait to work with Zane as co-chairs of the Conference Sessions and Activities Committee to implement our initiatives and work with you all to make some awesome special interest sessions as we prepare to (hopefully) return to a physical state conference this year! Also, I’m thrilled to work with you to create bylaw edits and so much more as chair of the Bylaw and Resolution Review Committee, furthering my wish to empower every member to make the change that they want to see.
