March 2019

Hi, PA-TSA! I hope you each had a great regional conference, and I am looking forward to seeing you all at the upcoming State Conference. The Board of Directors and State Officer Team have been working especially hard to ensure that the 2019 State Conference will be the best conference yet.
This year’s conference theme is Model The Way, and within the next three weeks, I challenge you to do so. Whether it is helping younger or newer members prepare their events, or just asking your advisor if they need a hand, each of us are leaders who Model the Way. Remember, TSA is not just about you, but those who surround you too.
During this year’s opening ceremony, we will hold our second annual Miracle Minute. Please bring any spare bills or change to the opening ceremony to donate at that time. Last year we raised an astounding $1000, and we hope to shatter that record this year! All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
This year at States, The PA-TSA Spirit of Service Award will recognize chapters that have fund-raised for the ACS in the past year. There are five levels of recognition, and it is a great start for chapters planning on submitting the National TSA Spirit of Service Award. If your chapter is interested in applying, please submit via this form. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email treasurer [at] patsa.org.
Additionally, the State Officer Team will be holding a Committee Meet and Greet, as well as a State Officer Town Hall. At these informative sessions, members learn about the different state committees PA offers, and have the opportunity to network with other members and officers. These two sessions will run back-to-back on Friday in Matterhorn Lounge from 4-5 PM (Town Hall) and 5-6 PM (Committee M&G).
At Stag Pass this year the printer station will be available for members, as well as event materials, such as TSA blue shirts, TSA ties, portfolio covers, page protectors, safety goggles, and flash drives - in case you’ve forgot something in the chaos before States!
