American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society (ACS) and Technology Student Association (TSA) have held a nationwide partnership since 2003 through the TSA/ACS Spirit of Service Awards program. Over the years, TSA chapters across the country, and within Pennsylvania have adopted many fundraising initiatives to raise funds in support of cancer education, advocacy and research.

TSA chapters play a key role in helping to fund the work of the American Cancer Society (ACS). ACS strives to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive cancer.

Being part of the American Cancer Society community provides an opportunity tend cancer as we know it, for everyone.

To participate in TSA's national service project - through various fundraising events, such as the Relay For Life movement- chapters will create an ACS account to track their progress, as well as view the efforts of others across the nation to raise funds on behalf of the American Cancer Society. If your chapter participates in a local Relay For Life, be sure to visit relayforlife.org to find the appropriate event.

Contributions raised from June 1st to June 1st each year will be tallied and counted towards recognition for the ACS Spirit of Service Award levels. To be eligible for the awards, TSA advisors must register on the ACS Website AND record chapter fundraising efforts in the ACS portal by June 1st.
