Be sure to check out the new Event Resources and Event Gallery pages on the PA-TSA website! On the event gallery, you can view images and descriptions of winning projects from previous years as well as advice from winning teams. On the resources page, you can find student-made annotated rubrics and study guides for both middle and high school events. Located under the “For Students” tab, these pages are excellent resources as you prepare your projects for the state conference.

Student Created Architectural Renovation Annotated Rubric

To continue the series started by the PA-TSA State Parliamentarian, the PA-TSA State President has created a presentation of the high school Architectural Renovation rubric, annotated with advice and clarifications from students who have previously competed in the event. Hopefully this document will help new competitors prepare for this event and further understand how the event works.

The online application for state officer candidates is now open and available. Any student applying for a position, including the appointed positions of Historian and Parliamentarian, must submit this application (along with related paperwork) by March 16. There are several changes to the application process this year—read this article for details.

2013-2014 State Officer Team Announced

On April 19th, the chapter delegates of Pennsylvania, voted in the new state officer team for the 2013-2014 school year.

Bylaws Amendment

The Pennsylvania Board of Directors has reviewed a bylaw change amendment to restructure the officer team. The amendment is properly formatted and will be presented to the voting delegates during Friday Night’s business meeting. The amendment must obtain a 2/3 majority to pass. You can read more on the amendment.
