Future Technology Teacher

The Terry Schwalm Memorial Future Technology Teacher Scholarship is a $1500 scholarship for prospective Technology & Engineering Education teachers. The scholarship is for a Pennsylvania Technology Student Association member who is a senior or graduate and has been admitted to, but not enrolled in, an undergraduate Technology & Engineering Education Teacher Education program at an accredited institution.

The applicant must submit, by March 1, an application describing educational background and noteworthy achievements, along with an explanation for the reason they want to become a Technology & Engineering Education teacher. Three (3) recommendations from individuals, high school transcripts, SAT scores, and class rank are to be submitted with the application. The scholarship is usually paid after the applicant submits proof of payment of tuition and fees, and proof of at least a ā€œCā€ average following their first semester/quarter. This scholarship is funded by a donation from the Pennsylvania TSA State Leadership Conference registration fees, as well as other volunteer donations.
