Model the Way Treasure Hunt

​Start your journey at Stag Pass

Looking for another way to win during your time at the conference while also exercising your STEM skills? Try your hand at a treasure hunt composed of multiple treasure-hunt, scavenger-hunt, and capture-the-flag inspired clues, throughout both the physical and cyber worlds. The first individual to complete the challenge will be recognized for a prize. Start your journey at Stag Pass!


U.S. Army STEM Truck

Outside the Grand Ballroom lobby

Stop by and check out this interactive experience showcasing the latest military technology! AS4 is a 60ft, 30 ton tractor and trailer asset that is a self-contained mobile warrior exhibit. It possesses various simulators such as CROWS Simulator, Lasershot Engagement System, XM 25 Weapon System and the Night Vision Sensor/Laser Exhibit. Exhibits and weapons displays include the New Soldier Equipment Hands-on Display and the Air, Land and Future Soldier exhibits and video displays.

If you’re interested in learning about parliamentary procedure for use in your chapter or in the event Chapter Team, com out to get your questions answered.


Parliamentary Procedure – advanced

Thursday, 11:00AM – 12:00 PM, Matterhorn Lounge

If you think you’ve got what it takes to run a business meeting, but still have a few questions, come to this session to get some quick tips on how to improve your skills.


Chapter President’s luncheon

Thursday, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM, Exhibit Hall (look for the reserved table)

Open to all chapter presidents. Stop by the buffet first, put your lunch in a take-out container and then join the State Officers for the meeting.


Penn College of Technology - You Can’t Be, What You Can’t See – High School

Thursday, 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Matterhorn Lounge

Here’s a chance to fully explore all the careers in the construction and design industry, with a few free t-shirts thrown out for fun! Construction zones often say, “Keep out,” but this session will invite you “in” to see how your interests can be aligned with a future in the rapidly expanding construction and design field. 


TSA Breakout Box – Middle School

Thursday, 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Matterhorn Lounge

You were on your way back to your hotel room to put on your official TSA dress code when you realized you didn’t have your room key. Your friend thought it would be funny to lock it into the box. Your competition starts in 45 minutes. Can you use your TSA knowledge to break into the box and retrieve your key in time or will you get disqualified and lose your chance to attend Nationals?

Rubik’s Speedcube Tournament

Thursday, 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Matterhorn Lounge

How fast can YOU solve the Rubik’s Cube? Well, let’s find out! Join Region 5 as they host the PA-TSA Speedcubing Tournament! Entrants will be asked to solve a 3 x 3 Rubik’s Cube in the fastest time possible. Fun prizes will be awarded to both the middle school and high school levels. Can’t solve the cube—don’t worry—there is no charge for watching the fun!


Advisor/Alumni Tech Bowl

Thursday, 3:00 – 4:00PM, Sunburst

Get ready for the craziest Tech Bowl yet! This exciting, fact-paced, and comical event turns the tables on advisors and judges, putting them in the hot seat. Sit back and watch your advisors and judges compete in their own high-pressure event!


Introduction to Drone Technology

Thursday, 4:00 – 5:00PM, Matterhorn Lounge

Introduction to Drone Technology is a special interest session offered to introduce students and teachers to drone technology for work, play, and sport. In this session, students and teachers will get to explore the world of drones for many different uses, and they will be introduced to the DJI Phantom, PCS Discover Drones Curriculum, building a drone from scratch, and Tiny Whoop flying!


Problem Solving Tournament – State Officer Team

Thursday, 5:00 - 6:00PM, Matterhorn Lounge

Come compete in pairs in a “problem solving” style competition where you will test your problem solving skills. You will have the opportunity to interact with students from different regions, and the winning teams will be rewarded.


Obtain Corporate Sponsors for your Chapter

Thursday, 6:00 - 7:00PM, Matterhorn Lounge

Want to learn how your chapter can obtain a corporate sponsor? Want to learn about the work that the Corporate Outreach has done this past year? Are you interested in joining the corporate outreach committee next year? Come to the Corporate Outreach Committee SIS to learn about the process of obtaining Corporate Sponsors and the work that the committee has done this year.


Scavenger Hunt - Seven Springs/TSA Trivia

Thursday, 6:30 - 7:30 PM, Snowflake

Each group in the event will be asked to go on a scavenger hunt to find answers about the Seven Springs Mountain Resort and TSA. Groups can be 1-4 people. Prizes will be awarded to the participants with the highest number of correct answers and the quickest time. Your advisor will be contacted with your prize.


Trivia Night – State Officer Team

Thusday, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM, Snowflake

If you have an overabundance of random knowledge or did not get your thirst for trivia out during Tech Bowl semifinals, come join us at Trivia Night! Trivia will include general topics as well as pop culture. The winner will receive a prize, and make sure to bring donations for the ACS!


State Officer Candidate Speeches

Thursday, 9:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Exhibit Hall

Come and listen to the PA TSA State Officer Candidates give their speeches about why they want to “Be Your Next State Officer.” If time allows, you can ask the candidates your questions. Two representatives must be present to be able to vote at the Business Meeting for your chapter.


Alumni Meeting – open to all graduating seniors and current TSA alumni

Are you looking to show off your gaming skills? Be sure to attend this fundraiser event where players will face off 1-on-1 in Super Smash Bros, advancing through small groups called pools in the hopes of making it to a final bracket! All proceeds will benefit the ACS, and winners will receive prizes!


Jefferson University - Design Challenge

Test your problem solving skills in this challenging design charrette sponsored by Jefferson University. Collaborate with fellow students to demonstrate your technical prowess and creativity for a chance to win special prizes!


Steps for Success

Middle schoolers, are you nervous about moving up to HS TSA? Are you new to the TSA scene? Are you a past champion with wisdom to share? Do you want to take your competition to the next level and snatch that first place trophy? Do you have questions about TSA in general? Then come share and receive advice, and meet with your fellow TSA enthusiasts! This is a group discussion open to anyone!


Classic Tech Problem Solving – R3

Friday 2:00 - 3:00 PM, Matterhorn Lounge

Stop in and design, build and test your solution to a challenge. You’ll receive limited materials and time to create a solution. All you need to bring is a creative maker mindset that is ready to enjoy some relaxed TSA camaraderie.

Whether you’re trying to learn a new skill to compete in a more diverse spectrum of events or looking to take your STEM involvement to the next level with advanced technology demonstrations, various STEM skill sessions will offer a breadth of knowledge in various technological fields. Ask the Officers’ Town Hall

Do you have a burning question for the state officers? Do you want to learn what they do in their job and what they’ve been working on? Do you want a preview the motions up for debate at this year’s business meeting? Come to the brand new state-officer-run town hall to get answers to all of your questions and discuss bylaw amendments with your peers!
