President's Update: March 2017

Long time no see, PA-TSA!

I hope you had some time to take a breath after regionals, but now it’s time to start thinking about states! The officers all had an amazing time meeting you at the regional conferences, and we cannot wait to reconvene at Seven Springs in just over a month. We’ve been working very hard to finalize our plans so that this conference can be the most memorable yet.

As you prepare your events and finalize your own plans, I would like to remind you to join our mailing list so that you don’t miss any important updates regarding the conference: Also, make sure you check the website and our social media pages regularly so that you always know what’s going on. I would hate for any of you to get disqualified because you forgot to check the read-read-read or event clarifications.

Another way you can stay informed as we lead up to the conference is to attend our Google Hangout sessions. One will be specifically for those interested in running for state office while the other will be for any members who want to chat about states and meet members from other schools. For more information or to sign up, please see this form:

Finally, be sure that you take some time with your chapter to discuss your feelings on the proposed bylaw amendment that will be considered at this year’s business meeting: It is important that your voting delegates get a feel for your chapter’s opinion before they represent you at the meeting. Also, if you are a delegate, make sure you take some time to brush up on your Robert’s Rules! There are resources on both the state and national websites.

As always, feel free to contact me at president [at] ()<!--style="text-decoration:none;"-->. Until next month, PA-TSA!
