Event Resources and Event Gallery

If you’re anything like me, there have been times where you had no idea how to start an event. Maybe you’re the first one from your chapter to attempt it, or maybe you just don’t understand the regulations. To help with situations like these, I’ve been working to create two new sections of the website.

The Event Gallery contains examples of projects that have placed highly at previous state or national conferences. Also included are descriptions of the projects and advice for success from the winning teams. Currently, examples are available for Sci Vis and Biotechnology Design, but more are on the way, so be sure to check back frequently for updates! In the near future, we will also begin taking submissions to add to the gallery, so dust off your old displays and keep an eye out for more information.

The Event Resources page is home to student-made annotated rubrics designed to highlight important regulations to keep in mind as you work on your projects. Also available is the parliamentary procedure study guide which will help you prepare for the Chapter Team event. As with the gallery, additional events and resources will be added whenever possible, so please be sure to keep checking back if you don’t see the event you were looking for.

I hope that these pages will help you improve your projects. If you have any questions about these additions, please feel free to contact me at vice_president [at] patsa.org. Good luck at your regional conferences, and I’ll see you at states!
