State Officer Team Winter Message

Hi Everyone!

Firstly, I hope you are all enjoying the fantastic Holiday Season! But along with spending time with your family (whether you like it or not) and taking a break from school, this is a great time to prepare for your upcoming Regional Conference. Maybe this is the year to defy the urge to procrastinate: start cranking through your paperwork, test out your project BEFORE the competition, and actually prepare your presentation instead of going impromptu style unless of course you are actually doing Extemporaneous Presentation.

The Regional Conference is going to be here before you know it along with the whirlwind that is the 2011 TSA year. The State Officer Team is already preparing for our upcoming meeting in Grantville and putting the final touches on our plans for the 2011 State Conference. Ideas that are in the works are a Wednesday Night activity with popcorn and performances by TSA members, new games for the annual Got Game Tournament, special interest sessions on leadership and parliamentary procedure, green initiatives sponsored by the Green Committee, and the Friday Night theme which YOU decide.

Also don't forget to check out the upcoming Winter PA-Post which has a lot of information that the officers think is important or at least interesting for you to know.

As for seniors, don't forget to send in your scholarship applications for the Terry Shwalms Memorial Award and the Outstanding Technology Student Award which must be postmarked by January 12th. Applications can be found on this website under "Scholarships and Awards."

Together, let's get a head start on 2011!

Best,
Katherine
