Your Regional Conference is fast approaching and, before you know it, the State Conference! It’s time to put the final touches on that project or speech and hit the road for another memorable beginning to a new TSA year. I challenge you to take risks, strive for excellence, and enjoy the journey. You will be astounded by your own Snapshots of Innovation! As for the State Officers, after having an extremely productive meeting in Grantville, PA along with representatives from the Green Initiative and Membership Committees, the plans are set! We have so many things going on at the 2011 State Conference from old favorites like the Got Game Tournament and Ironman to new ones like the Middle School to High School Transition Special Interest Session and the initiatives organized by the Green Committee. Most excitingly, the State Officer Team has proposed a new activity on Wednesday Night at States! Due to the large amount of talent we see at States each year in hallways and during meals, the Team would like to host a talent expo that night at States. If you are a musician, have a band, or have any other act you would like to perform, please contact me at president@patsa.org with a description of your act and any equipment you would need. However, if there is not enough demonstrated interest, we will not be able to host it so please, contact me sooner rather than later! As for Regionals, a State Officer (or two!) will be coming to each Regional Conference with more specific details on the things we have planned for states. But before you go to Regionals, we want you to be aware that the officers will be bringing along their cans for the annual pie-in-the-face contest held in April. The officer with the most money in their can will be pied in the face on Friday Night at States so support the American Cancer Society and add your spare change to the cans. Lastly, if you are interested in running for a State Office, do not hesitate to approach an Officer at your Regional Conference. We can give you information about the application process and valuable advice about campaigning. See you at Regionals! -Katherine P.S. The State Officer Team will be posting more information about specific events and fundraisers in this section of the website as the State Conference approaches. If you would like more specific information, email us directly and we will respond to your questions promptly.
