REMINDERS
State Conference Registration: You must bring your conference registration check with you to the PA-TSA Registration desk on Wednesday evening. You will not be able to pick up any registration materials until you have paid. Checks should be made payable to PA-TSA.  View your bill here: http://patsa-iservices.org/fmapi/chapter_bill.php

Security: As in past years, each chapter will need to fill a designated number of security slots based on the number of students attending from the chapter. Security sign-ups will take place during PA-TSA Registration on Wednesday evening.

Event Updates:
  • Please make sure all parts of all projects have the team and/or individual ID#s clearly marked on them before arriving at event check-in. ID#s can be obtained from iServices at any time.
  • Flight (MS) After consulting with the National coordinators for this event, we have come to the following conclusion: Freehand means without the aid of a ruler, french curve, etc. The only tool a student may use to complete their sketch is a pencil. All components (wings, tail fins, etc.) must be included and drawn to scale. Judging will be done according to explanation at the State Conference.
  • Test Sessions - Per General Regulation J in the 2011-12 High School Competitive Events Guide, all must provide - and bring to the test site - two (2) pencils (sharpened standard #2/HB grade with an eraser, or #2 mechanical with an eraser) for any competition that involves a written test.
  • Test Sessions - For team events, all team members must take the test during the same session or the team will be disqualified. There will be no tests given after the final testing session. Only one test may be taken per session, even if a student finishes early. No one will be permitted to enter the session after testing has begun, even if the student would still have enough time to finish the test as late arrivals cause a distraction to those who are testing. Students taking multiple tests must plan ahead so that they can complete all tests during the assigned sessions. Each level will have five testing sessions.
  • Please be sure to consult the updates and clarifications section of the National TSA website (http://www.tsaweb.org/Updates-and-Clarification) for any rule changes. We will be judging according to these updates. Additionally be sure to consult the READ document (http://patsa.org/LiveWire/news2/sc_dir_mess/2011_READ-READ-READ.php) for any procedural or rules changes.
Best of luck and see you in a couple of days!
