Grantville Report
By Phil Hayes, Chairman of the Environmental Committee
Jan 30, 2010 - 7:36:41 AM

The PA-TSA Grantville Meeting was one for the books! The Board of Directors, State Officer Team, and Environmental Committee spent the day planning for the Regional/State Conferences and the events leading up to these exciting venues.

Among the three environmental committee proposals, one of our initiatives took an interesting turn. Josh Hoffman, the E-Committee's Duplex Printing Project Manager, presented a petition program that would test the support of TSA members of the double-sided printing initiative. But, under the recommendation of Bill Bertrand and Laura Hummell, the project was realized to have a greater potential in using NO PAPER, rather than less paper. Read more about the potentially dubbed "Electronic Submission Project" in the Winter Edition of the PA-Post.

Other notable Grantville meeting milestones of the Green Initiative include the approval of two chapter-based initiative projects: the Plastic Bag Recycling Project and Pennsylvania Ride the Bus to School Day. Previously approved at the TEAP meeting, the Electronic Waste Collection Project will take effect in the first week of March.

More information and resources regarding these projects will be posted on patsa.org/green in the coming week.
