Laura Hummell - As a technology education assistant professor at Cal U of PA, a parent of a PA-TSA member, and co-advisor for a new middle school chapter just beginning its second year, I know what a positive impact Technology Student Association can have on young people. The people I have met who are involved in PA-TSA are some of the hardest working and most conscientious people I have had the pleasure of knowing. I know that not only my students, but also my own children, have learned leadership skills and work standards for a lifetime by being a part of this organization. I want to help further the development and implementation of the leadership, problem solving, technological literacy, and competitive events that PA-TSA has refined over the years. Prior to moving back to Pennsylvania, I was a middle and high school TSA advisor in North Carolina for 13 years. Of all the things that I have done over the years to promote technology education, becoming a Technology Student Association advisor by far has had the most positive outcomes for my students and me. I highly recommend being an active part of a student organization that is dedicated to furthering the principles of leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. I will support the mission of PA-TSA in whatever ways I can. I hope you will consider me for the PA-TSA Member-At-Large Board position.
