Happy New Year TSA
Well it’s 2009 and in a few short weeks the regional conferences will begin.
As
we prepare for the regional conference encourage your students to enter as many
events as they can handle. This will do two things for them. First it will allow
the to immerse themselves for the day in what TSA is about. This can be a
positive exciting day filled with friendly competition and learning. Second if
they have taken the time, it will increase their chances of qualifying for the
next level of competition at the state conference.
Encourage
your students to look over the event information carefully and ensure they are
following the guidelines. It is always the hope of the judges and everyone
involved to avoid event disqualification. However this usually occurs due to
over looking rules and criteria. Making the conferences a rewarding and
positive experience is always the goals of the regional coordinators and the
Board of Directors.
The
State officers are planning an exciting state conference. I hope it is the goal
of each member of TSA to attend the conference this April at Seven Springs. The
state officer team has been working hard all year in their preparations to make
this a highly memorable state conference.
Chris
Miller is preparing to have I-service up and running in a short period of time.
Your regional coordinators will be providing event numbers to Chris, which is
the final step before the process, can begin. Your regional coordinator should
be contacting you soon with the necessary information. This will in all
likelihood happen
after the BOD
meeting in Grantville on January 17th.
In
the mean time keep your students focused on their preparation and good luck at
this exciting time of the year.
