Congratulations to everyone who attended the state conference last week and very well done to all that were able to attain a finalist pin in an event. That is a wonderful accomplishment. Everyone who attended the conference is a winner. You have demonstrated the ability and knowledge to get to the next level of problem solving. If you are going to attend the national conference, you will have to prepare equally as hard.

Now another decision needs to be made. Will you be able to attend the national conference in Denver in June? For those who have been to a national conference, they realize the work that is needed to return. For those who have the opportunity to attend for the first time, I hope you are able to make the journey this year. These are wonderful events that leave a lasting memory. You will meet students from around the country and perhaps a few from out of the country as well. You will discover that you all have one thing in common, that is the passion that the Technology Student Association has created.

I hope you are able to make this journey. Each national conference is unique. If you have attended one in the past you realize as I do that no two are the same. Each one has it’s own identification and activities that makes it special. So, if you are able to afford this trip, please take the opportunity to do so.

On another note, we will be holding the Leadership Conference once again in July at Bucknell University. This is a two day and one night leadership training retreat for those who wish to sharpen those kinds of skills and perhaps be future state leaders. The conference dates are July 13th and 14th this year and the cost is determined by individual or by chapter. Advisors and students are invited to go to the   PaTSA    web site and look up the information under conferences to be sure you turn in the paper work on time. This is always a good opportunity to begin planning on your next school year and have fun at the same time.

Once again congratulations to all who attended and good luck to everyone who will be traveling to Denver in June.
