Impending Bad Weather Effect

Below is the final information that can be sent out to all chapters that may be affected by inclement weather.  Again, if you have any questions or concerns regarding the state conference, please contact Chris Roth.

In the event that a Regional Conference is cancelled or a school is unable to attend a Regional Conference due to inclement weather, the following guidelines will apply.

The chapters in that region would follow these guidelines for State
Conference Registration:
  1. For those events that are NOT Qualifiers, State Max guidelines would apply.
  2. For those events that are Qualifiers, National Max guidelines would apply.  Exceptions will be made for those events that have a certain max per state.  The result would be the following:
Middle School    
  • Challenging Technology Issues        1
  • Dragster Design Challenge        2
  • Prepared Speech                1
  • Problem Solving                1
  • Structural Challenge            1

High School
  • Architectural Model            1
  • Desktop Publishing            1
  • Dragster Design                2
  • Extemporaneous Presentation        1
  • Imaging Technology            1
  • Prepared Presentation            1
  • Structural Engineering            1
  • Technology Challenge            1
  • Technology Problem Solving        1

Note:  The disadvantage of not having a conference is that no chapter will be able to qualify more than the Max for any event.
